Packing services —
like it ships to a museum.

Pack once,

and pack right: glass sleeved one piece at a time,

art and heirlooms crated to the object,

every carton sized to what is actually in it.

Your quote then names who packs what,

the materials room by room,

any custom-crate work,

and how the inventory is written and checked at the other end.

ONE SHELF, PACKED

One shelf, packed — loose at one end, sealed and written at the other.

This is the whole trade in one picture. Two bays of the same kitchen shelf, shot together: on the left it is still as we found it, and on the right everything the scope covers — the stemware, the plate stack, the frame that leans — has left as wrapped bundles, a celled dish pack and one written manifest line.

AS FOUNDMANIFESTED

GLASS · ONE AT A TIME

Where the stemware is ours to pack, every stem gets its own kraft sleeve before it sees the dish pack — nothing rides loose, nothing touches glass.

PLATES · CELLED ON EDGE

Plates travel standing in celled dish packs, the way they survive a pothole — they should never ride stacked flat.

MANIFEST · LINE WRITTEN

Where the written inventory is included, the shelf leaves as a numbered line — and the same line checks it back in at the other end.

The manifest

Wrapped, labelled, sealed.

Choose the level of help — full pack, partial, or fragile-only — and the quote should be scoped to exactly that. Plenty of clients pack their books and linens themselves and hand us the kitchen, the art and everything they swore they'd never move again; the quote separates what you pack from what we pack and names the materials and handling included.

  • 01The full box library

Double-walled cartons, dish packs, wardrobes and mirror boxes — sized so weight stays balanced and nothing rides crushed.

  • 02Wrap chosen for the object

Paper, cushioning and barrier materials are picked for what they go around — china, silver and framed art each get their own read. Any archival-grade requirement is named in the quote.

  • 03Custom crates for the irreplaceable

Art, glass, sculpture and heirlooms get purpose-built crates — measured, padded and labelled for the piece, not the truck. Availability and specification must be confirmed per piece.

  • 04Packers who do this every day

The kitchen and the fragile cartons go to the packing crew, gloves on. The quote should identify which rooms and items are theirs, and which stay with you or a specialist.

  • 05A written inventory

Every box numbered, contents summarized, destination room marked. The same list comes off the truck — nothing mystery-boxed — and the quote defines how that record is checked at delivery.

  • 06Unpacking, if you want it

Add unpack service and the kitchen and bedrooms are working the first evening — cartons broken down and taken, not stacked in the hall. The rooms included and the finish point are named in the quote.

Protocol

Bare shelves to sealed manifest.

Walk the rooms

We see the space, count the rooms and flag the fragiles. The plan breaks down by room and packing level, so you may mix and match the help you want.

Pack day

Materials arrive with the crew — or the day before, if you want a head start. Every box is wrapped, labelled and manifested as it seals.

The same list, unpacked

The inventory that left is the inventory that arrives. Boxes land by room label, and if you've added unpacking, the first night feels like home.

Questions

Asked before the first box.

What's included in a full packing service?

A full-pack quote lists the rooms and item groups accepted, along with materials, labour, labels, inventory method and exclusions. Anything outside that list remains a customer responsibility.

Can I pack some things myself and leave you the rest?

If a partial-pack scope is accepted, the written quote and protection terms must separate customer-packed rooms or item groups from those assigned to the packing team.

How do you pack fragile items like dishes and artwork?

The method depends on the object. The assessed plan can specify individual wrap, cushioning, dish packs, mirror boxes, corner protection or a custom-crate option for named pieces.

Do you unpack at the destination?

Unpacking may be available as an add-on. The quote identifies the rooms or items included, placement depth, carton removal and any materials that remain on site.
